Affiliate Programs: Your “Partner In Passive Profits”

All companies that sell products and services online are constantly in need of fresh targeted leads and customers. That's why many of them have created affiliate programs.

What is an affiliate program?

Online, an affiliate program is a program that pays other people like you to send targeted traffic to a company's website. In return, the company pays their affiliates based on the terms of their affiliate agreement.

There are 3 Common affiliate compensation plans include:
  • Pay Per Lead - a fixed price per lead brought in.
  • Commission Based Pay-Per-Sale - a percentage of any sales generated from the visitors sent to the sponsoring company’s website.
  • Hybrid - a combination of both of the above.
There are other types of affiliate compensation plans, but these are the most common and quite often the most profitable for the system you’re about to learn.

Most affiliate programs work by giving you custom “affiliate links” to their products and services that you place on your website. These links can appear as normal in-text hyper links, graphical banner ads or similar creative’s that appear as clickable content on your site.

When the visitors to your website click the link or banner and are taken to the sponsoring company's website, they are tagged by the affiliate program as being sent there by you.

Then, when they make a purchase or complete an action – such as signing up for a free offer – you earn a commission in accordance with the program you are promoting.

For example, the eBay.com affiliate program pays a percentage of every sale made by visitors sent by their affiliates. They also pay a bonus “finder's fee” for each new eBay member that joins through an affiliate's recommendation.

This means, any person who has a website about a hobby or collector's niche say collecting vintage model trains - can sign up for the eBay affiliate program and place links to related eBay auctions (auctions for those very trains) on their site.

The chances are very good that a person visiting a website about vintage model trains would be very interested in purchasing those very items. This makes for a true win-win-win situation:
  • The visitor finds information on the topic they were looking for at the affiliate's website as well as useful links to a related resource of interest.
  • The company sponsoring the affiliate program acquires a new lead or customer.
  • The affiliate running the website earns automatic income just for providing and marketing digital information on their site.

Earn Dollars Online: 3 Off Beat Ways for a JV Partner to say Yes Instantly through Your Proposal

I figure there are at least three distinct but interrelated motivations ... or demonstrations that stop the action in its tracks.

The first, quite legitimately and obviously, is time. Business people or the “doers” in the business world at least, seem to work at a frenetic pace. And anything new across the desk is an
intrusion.

To pull off what you’re doing to think about something new (that someone else sees as important) may be just too much to handle. So it gets put in that cold place called a “back burner”.

So, to get action, we clearly need to demonstrate to the recipient that the time needed to pull off doing the other things they’re doing is FAR outweighed by the rewards they’ll get.

And to achieve that, we need to do more than simply present the logic of “dollars and cents”.
The successful person is already making plenty of those ... so unless our proposal entails MEGA dollars, they really won’t be sidetracked by that argument.

Second. And that leads me to point number two. Your proposal must be consistent with the
“doer’s” vision ... their “main stream” activity. “Doers” have a passion for where they’re going.

They are single-minded---Focused like a laser. So before we present our case, we need to determine what their priorities are and structure our proposal in a way that what WE want, gives them what THEY want.

I think it’s instructive to think of this “doer” as swimming the English Channel against the tide. They know where they’re going. They know if they stop striving in that direction for any length of time, they’re going to go backwards or drift away from their objective.

So with that picture in mind, what can YOU offer them that will (a) either help
them GET there faster...or (b) that it is so damn compelling, they’ll stop swimming and
start doing what you want...

I think you’ll agree, it makes you see how darn compelling your proposal must be!

Third. That leads me to the third and final point. To get a proposal acted upon by a busy
doer when the content is outside their precise focus, YOU have to make it EASY. You have to “sell” your proposal by…

Doing most if not ALL the thinking and execution. You may have to write all the letters, design their brochure if there’s to be one, develop all the follow-up letters and even project out their sales figures from the venture ... even offer to put someone in their office to DO the project and to deal directly with their customers if that’s what it takes.

Make it so easy that all they have to do is bank the money.

17 Hints and Suggestions For Reducing Your Work Stress Now

1. When you wake up, take a few quiet moments to affirm that you are choosing to go to work today. If you can, briefly review what you think you will be doing and remind yourself that it mayor may not happen that way.

2. Bring awareness to the whole process of preparing to go to work. This might include showering, dressing, eating, and relating to the people you live with. Tune in to your breathing
and your body from time to time.

3. Don't say good-bye mechanically to people

Make eye contact with them, touch them, really be "in" those moments, slow them down just a bit.

If you leave before other people wake up,you might try writing them a brief note to say good morning and express your feelings toward them.
4. If you walk to public transportation, be aware of your body walking, standing and waiting, riding, and getting off. Walk into work mindfully. Breathe. Try smiling inwardly. If driving, take a moment or two to come to your breathing before you start the car. Remind yourself that you are about to drive off to work now. Some days at least try driving without the radio on. Just drive and be with yourself, moment by moment. When you park, take a moment or two to just sit and breathe before you leave the car. Walk into work mindfully. Breathe. If your face is already tense and grim, try smiling, or try a half smile if that is too much.

At work, take a moment from time to time to monitor your bodily sensations. Is there tension in your shoulders, face, hands, or back? How are you sitting or standing in this moment? What is your body language saying? Consciously let go of any tension as best you can as you exhale and shift your posture to one that expresses balance, dignity, and alertness. When you find yourself walking at work, take the edge off it. Walk mindfully. Don't rush unless you have to. If you have to,know that you are rushing. Rush mindfully.

7. Use any breaks you get to truly relax. Instead of drinking coffee or smoking a cigarette, try going outside the building for three minutes and walking or standing and breathing. Or do neck and shoulder rolls at your desk . Or shut your office door if you can and sit quietly for five minutes or so, following your breathing.

8. Spend your breaks and lunchtime with people you feel comfortable with. Otherwise, maybe it would be better for you to be alone. Changing your environment at lunch can be helpful. Choose to eat one or two lunches per week in silence, mindfully.

9. Alternatively don't eat lunch. Go out and exercise, every day if you can, or a few days per week. Exercise is a great way of reducing stress. Your ability to do this will depend on how much flexibility you have in your job. If you can do it, it is a wonderful way of clearing the mind, reducing your tension, and starting the afternoon refreshed and with a lot of energy. I try to get out of the hospital and run in the middle of the day for from half an hour to an hour, depending on my schedule.

Many work places have organized employee exercise programs, such as aerobics, weight lifting, yoga, and dance, both at lunchtime and before and after work. If you have the opportunity to exercise at work, take it! But remember, an exercise program takes the same kind of commitment that the formal meditation takes. And when you do it, do it mindfully.

10. Try to stop for one minute every hour and become aware of your breathing. We waste far more time than this day dreaming at work. Use these mini-meditations to tune in to the present and just be. Use them as moments in which to regroup and recoup. All it takes is remembering to do it. This one is not easy, since we so easily get carried away by the momentum of all the doing.

11. Use everyday cues in your environment as reminders to center yourself and relax-the telephone ringing, down time at the computer terminal, waiting for someone else to finish something before you can start. Instead of relaxing by "spacing out," relax by tuning in.

12. Be mindful of your communications with people during the work day. Are they  satisfactory? Are some problematic? Think about how you might improve them. Be aware of people who tend to operate in a passive mode or a hostile mode with you. Think about how you might approach them more effectively. Think about how you might be more sensitive to other people's feelings and needs. How might you help others at 'work by being more mindful? How might awareness of tone of voice and body language help you when communicating?

13. At the end of the day, review what you have accomplished and make a list of what needs to be done tomorrow. Prioritize the items on your list so that you know what is most important.

14. As you are leaving, bring your awareness to walking and breathing again. Be aware of the transition we call "leaving work." Monitor your body. Are you exhausted? Are you standing erect or bent over? What expression is on your'face?

15. If you are taking public transportation, bring your attention to your walking, standing, and sitting. Notice if you are rushing. Can you "back it down a bit" and own those moments between work and home as much as any of your other moments to live? Or, if you are driving, take a moment or two once again to sit in your car before you start it up. Drive home mindfully.

16. Before you walk in the door, realize that you are about to do so. Be aware of this transition we call "coming home." Try greeting people mindfully and making eye contact rather than shouting to announce your arrival.

17. As soon as you can, take your shoes off and get out of your work clothes. Changing to other clothes can complete the transition from work to home and allow you to integrate more quickly and consciously into your non-work roles. If you can make the time, take five minutes or so to meditate before you do anything else, even cooking or eating dinner. The foregoing re offered as hints and suggestions, not as a  daily program. Ultimately the challenge is yours to decide what might best help you to reduce your work stress.

These tips can help you earn dollars online too.

How To Know a Profitable Market Online... Market Research in 60 seconds

Is not about the “keywords”!

Everybody always talks about market research - there really is never a need to “research” a market. It’s already there - you just have to “discover” the opportunities and offer “something” that will earn you money.

That something could be - getting the people in the market on your list first (if the market permits) and then monetize with affiliate offers, your own products,CPA offers or even contextual clicks like AdSense (which, by the way, is not dead).

In order to discover a market you don’t need a keyword tool.
What good are keywords if you don’t have a single clue about
what a market’s wants/needs/pains are?

First you go and find the people in the market and look its -"commercial intent"

Keywords don't buy products - people do.

You want to find out what the market talks about - something that the offline business world can never find out. They can only guess..

You use omgili.com to brainstorm by just looking at the hundreds of markets that are mentioned there (there’s a “recent topics” on the homepage).

This is a real goldmine and you can build highest earning by “accidently” coming across topics that had never deemed profitable before..

Omgili.com reveals discussions about products unheard off
before.! You can find links to popular forums, popular products,
even tweets that are being done in real time.

One very nifty feature is the real time Omgili search (enhanced
by Google) - you can find it here --!http://google.omgili.com/

If I type in “dating” - I get back regular Google results but on
the side there are these little call out boxes. These callout
boxes point to "discussions" or conversations about that
particular site.

Click on one of those boxes and you'll get!a scrollable box that
lists websites, blog posts, Yahoo answers, forums, tweets, etc,
with one thing in common - they all mention that particular
website.

All of these links point towards people who have asked
questions, provide tips, talk about their frustrations, deepest desires and wants.

Those are the people that populate your market!

See! - you did zero research. You typed in a query and you've been given all the things you'll ever need to know about the market, and you got it from real people talking about real
things that keep them busy..

Market discovery is not about keywords, it's about finding and
observing the people in the market.

Don't overthink this stuff too much - just type in the query and follow the links. Very quickly you'll discover the potential in the market, ready for you to jump in and profit from..

In this market alone there's hundreds more topics - just type in
the main query and follow the "people trail".

Now that you have a more solid idea about the market (an idea
you wouldn't have been able to form if you would have just
used Google's keyword tool) it's time for you to figure out
whether or not the market is a viable one.

In other words - is there Money to be made?

Are there CPA/affiliate offers available I can present to these people?

You can find out @ offervault.com. Maybe an information product on Clickbank or a physical
product on cj.com?

Go to each of these different networks and - again - type in
your market.

Other resources you can use besides omgili.com:

On the left hand side you'll see the following options you can
use:

1 - Videos
2 - News
3 - Blogs
4 - Forums

You can also use the very helpful --.

Earnings Predictions

Before you dive into a market you need to build your own little "earnings
prediction sheet". It doesn't mean youl'l make that much (in most
cases you make much more) - but it is a necessity to set a goal.

“Most people jump in a market without an "earnings plan".

Whatever they make, they make. They have no goals - they
just want to "make money". That's not good enough for me..

Maybe you find an information product on Clickbank that has
$40 commission. So, in that case - just one sale per day would
do the trick..

Breaking up earning predictions per day gives you a goal to go
for. Putting a daily money amount on a project makes it more
valuable. "Making as much as possible" is not a plan..

How a Carpenter Boost his Income from $10,000 to more than $30,000 a Month with Google AdSense

People seeking authoritative advice on everything from sealing asphalt to installing crown molding often turn to AsktheBuilder.com for the information they need. There, nationally syndicated newspaper columnist Tim Carter delivers practical tips, in-depth how-to's, and product information for handymen and handywomen across the country.

As he says, "I spend a tremendous amount of time writing articles, answering people’s emails, and creating quality content for my site."

"Visitors to my site are usually in a significant amount of pain.

Their roof is leaking or they have a crack in their foundation," says Carter.

"I want to solve their problems, and that’s what AdSense does.

AdSense provides instantaneous solutions to problems that my visitors have."
The only issue was that signing up and maintaining a stable of advertisers was practically a full-time job for Carter, who preferred to focus on content development.

In April 2004, Carter learned about AdSense for content sites. He recognized that it would enable him to reach thousands of advertisers and screen ad quality with minimal time and effort. Carter immediately experienced a jump in advertising revenue of 400 percent.
His monthly advertising revenues, including AdSense, grew from $1,500 to $7,500. Realizing that this relatively small change in advertising strategy had a big impact on revenues, Carter set out to fine-tune his AdSense program to maximize his cash flow and content exposure.

Positive Results

Carter quickly began tests using AdSense channels, trying different ad formats, colors, and placement to gauge relative effectiveness. He tracked each change by channel to determine if adjustments resulted in increased revenues.

• He immediately found ads with a yellow background resulted in a 40 percent drop in income, so he discontinued them. And he also found ways to dramatically improve performance.

• One winning strategy Carter discovered is a rectangular format: the inline rectangle worked well with his content layout. He saw a 20 percent jump in revenue from placing the rectangle in the upper left corner inside his articles.

• He has also been able to match AdSense ads with the color scheme on his website to deliver visual continuity that’s appealing to readers. With his recent implementation of the link units format in the upper left corner under the site search bar, Tim was astonished to see an 18 percent jump in his revenues.

• Carter also tested placement of ads and ad unit sizes to gauge performance. "I now put ad units above the fold and to the left before I place them anywhere else," he says.

• He also saw that AdSense units perform well when they are within the body of his articles.

Tim’s AdSense revenues now average $1400 a day and growing. Overall, Carter is enthusiastic about AdSense: it allows him to focus on content development, and gives him built-in tools to measure ad performance and make changes to maximize revenues. "People come to me for help," says Carter. "They get what they need from my columns and advice - and also from ads delivered by AdSense."

Carter is a licensed master plumber and carpenter with his own radio show. He also makes frequent television appearances. Since founding AsktheBuilder.com in 1995, his primary focus has been catering to an avid following of fellow builders on the site.

Factors to Consider When Choosing Your Profitable Market Online

Factors to Consider When Choosing Your Profitable Market Online
Vol. 1

Affinity

We all have affinity groups we joined and admired, just like your market, they also have affinity groups in which they somehow felt the tight belongingness of one another.

If you belong to a certain group in which they are your target market online, this is a great leverage for you because initial trust begins to kick-in.

I’m not saying total trust, but almost there.

What if you don’t have affinity with the group you choose to market online?

There are three stories you can tell your market even if you don’t have the direct affinity to them.

1st story would be to tell that “ you are not one of them but you know something that they don’t know and your market (which you have direct affinity), is listening to you as the guru, and now you are telling them new and best ways that could improved their lives.

2nd story would be an endorsement from your chosen market. Get someone and let that person tell the story. This would come out that you’re not bragging your achievement but rather as a social proof that someone is giving a positive testimony that your are what they want.

3rd story “The Big Secret”. You will tell them you have the “secret formula”. You will tell them what not to do, but not how to do it, you kind of be teasing them, amplifying the emotions they have experienced and paying them your empathy.

Market Pulse

There are four key questions you should answer before you will ever know the heartbeat of the market.

1st How much do you know about the market?

2nd How much you don’t know about the market?

3rd How much you know that your market doesn’t know?

4 How much you don’t know about the market knows?

Any questions that would pop-up on your mind in terms of there behavior towards selling at them, find those answers before you jump into that market.

Size of the Market

This mean you have to find out the business history of the market looking back up to 30 years of its existence. You can easily find them using SRDS from your local library. Your librarian is your ally.

One way is look out for their trade association magazine publication and try to ask or download there ready available media kit, you can read a lot on insightful idea here on how big are they. Once you have done that, ask yourself, “If I can sell only to the Top 10% of this market, will I gain long-term profits?”

Trends

Basically you want to look here is that .. does the market is growing, shrinking, aging? You want one that's growing and young because it’s easy to nurture.

Top Tip! You can read concise trend reports from big research firm agencies thru there RSS feeds or try to find out press release on a certain trend published by them. This will help you quickly understand on a short paragraph what trend about and at the near future.
